The EK9 Honda Civic Type R is the purest front-wheel-drive driver's car of the 1990s. Built around the legendary B16B engine — the highest-revving naturally aspirated production engine Honda had produced at the time — the Type R screams to 8,400rpm and rewards commitment and precision. Lightweight, with close-ratio gearbox and helical LSD, these JDM-only cars never made it to most international markets.
